Firefighter/EMT & Firefighter/ Paramedic
The Captiva Island Fire Control District is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/ Paramedic. Applications must be received (email, mail or dropped off, no faxes) no later than August 14th, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum Requirements at time of Employment:
State of Florida Minimum Fire II Standards Certificate of Compliance
Must be at least 18 years of age
Be a non-smoker/ non-user of tobacco for at least one year prior to application
Current State of Florida EMT certification
Current State of Florida Paramedic certification
Current 16 hour EVOC Certification
Current AHA BLS CPR Healthcare provider certification
A valid Florida Drivers License

Applicant must properly complete the Captiva Island Fire Control District application, which can be downloaded and printed on our website at: www.captivafire.com

All offers of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a written test, swim evaluation, physical agility test, oral interview, pre-employment physical, drug test, criminal and driving record background check.

Testing and Interviews will be conducted the week of August 24th.
